Kay Brothers Winery & Cellar Door

As of March 31st 2020, Kay Brothers Cellar Door is closed to the public, due to COVID-19 measures.

For those of our supporters who still want to enjoy Kay Brothers wines and support our winery, online and phone sales continue with FREE DELIVERY for all orders of 6 bottles or more. A great chance to top up your cellar with some stunning wines!

Our company has overcome a few hurdles in the last 130 years and whilst Covid 19 will have an impact on our business, we have deep roots with a solid foundation, and we shall bounce back.

Group Bookings information

Outside of our Tasting Experiences, we provide complimentary tastings for groups under 6 people. For groups 6-15 people a formal booking is required and a fee of $5.00 per head is applicable. Please contact our cellar door should you wish to make a booking or require further information.Larger groups wishing to use the picnic grounds are also required to notify and book through the cellar door.


·       Groups 6 - 15 people a $5.00 pp service fee is payable prior to the confirmation of the booking request

·       Please speak to a member of our Cellar Door directly if your group is larger than 15 people

·       Please note 48 hours cancellation notice/change of numbers is required for a refund

·       No BYO Alcohol onto grounds - including picnic area

·       It is an offence to serve intoxicated patrons. Unruly patrons may be asked to leave if required

·       Alcohol will not be served to persons under the age of 18

·       Licensed vehicles will not be accepted after 12.30pm and alcohol must remain on vehicle

Events at Kay Brothers


Kay Brothers plays host to events across the year, including music, wine and art, as well as regional McLaren Vale events such as SALA and Shimmer Photography. 

Our historic winery, rolling lawns and beautiful view offer a wonderful location to visit for any event, look for our events on our social media channels.


Kay Brothers do not currently accommodate weddings, but our historic cask room, with a capacity of 100, can accommodate meetings, conferences and presentations by request. Please contact us at to enquire.
