Our longstanding passion for Grenache and its favourable growing conditions in the maritime climate of McLaren Vale, inspired our ambition to produce a vibrant dry rosé perfectly suited to accompany lighter cuisine and enormously refreshing during the warmer months of the year.

The growing season for vintage 2019 was consistently dry across autumn, winter, spring and summer. This ultimately kept crop levels low, meaning a small crop of 4.14 tonnes of Grenache grapes was hand harvested on the 14th of March. After a short period of skin contact the grapes were, crushed, de-stemmed and lightly pressed in our traditional 1928 basket press.

The Grenache fruit for this release was hand-picked and given a short period of skin contact before crushing, de-stemming and lightly pressed using our 1928 basket press. The juice was then fermented at cool temperatures to maximise freshness and retain delicate flavours.

Our rosé exhibits vibrant berry fruit, a touch of spice, along with texture and is supported by crunchy acidity leading to a thirst-quenching dry finish
